We are The Clare Association Chicago
I would love to hear the stories of how this club started.
Our
Values
Faith
Faith has always been the guiding light of our community, shaping our purpose and strengthening our resolve. Inspired by the deep Catholic traditions carried from County Clare to Chicago, we place our trust in God as we serve others with humility and love. Our commitment to prayer, service, and moral integrity grounds every effort we undertake—from supporting families in need to celebrating the dignity of every person. Through faith, we honor the legacy of those who came before us and continue their mission of living out God’s compassion in our community.
Community
Our community was born from the shared experience of Irish immigrants seeking connection, belonging, and a sense of home in Chicago. That spirit of togetherness continues to guide us today. We gather not only to celebrate our County Clare heritage, but to strengthen the bonds that hold us together across generations. Through fellowship, shared traditions, and collective purpose, we create a welcoming place where every member feels seen, supported, and part of something larger than themselves.
Compassion
Compassion has been at the heart of our organization since its earliest days. What began as neighbors helping neighbors has grown into a longstanding commitment to uplifting those facing hardship. From supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to offering scholarships that open doors for young people, we strive to embody the generosity and kindness that define our Irish roots. Our compassion is not just a value — it is an action, lived out through service, charity, and care for those who need it most.
Respect
Respect is the foundation of how we honor our heritage, serve our community, and interact with one another. We recognize the dignity of every person, celebrating their unique gifts and stories. Whether we are welcoming new members, supporting families, or hosting Clare Day for Special People, we approach each individual with humility, gratitude, and genuine regard. By upholding respect in all we do, we preserve the values passed down from County Clare and ensure they continue to shape our community with integrity and grace.
